The client is responsible for out-of-pocket costs under each of the following arrangements.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<aside class=\"sogt-aba-badge\"><span class=\"sogt-aba-badge-kicker\">Fee Strategy<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"sogt-aba-badge-title\">Flexible Structures, Clear Expectations<\/h3>\n<p class=\"sogt-aba-badge-copy\">Alternative billing can be tailored to matter scope, risk profile, and business objectives while preserving clarity around cost and service delivery.<\/p>\n<\/aside>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"sogt-aba-grid\">\n<div class=\"sogt-aba-card\">\n<h3>Fixed Fees<\/h3>\n<p>This arrangement provides the client with a set price for a particular legal service. Often these arrangements are made for discrete and limited projects such as entity formation, estate planning, sexual harassment training, or certain portions of a litigation matter.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"sogt-aba-card\">\n<h3>Contingency Fees<\/h3>\n<p>Under this arrangement, which applies when the firm is attempting to collect a sum for our client, the fee is equivalent to an agreed upon percentage of the amount recovered when and if it is recovered.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"sogt-aba-card\">\n<h3>Hedge Fees<\/h3>\n<p>This arrangement is employed for large collection matters and provides for a blend of contingency fee and a non-refundable initial payment that caps a client\u2019s exposure. The client makes the initial payment and can receive a refund of the payment once monies are collected.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"sogt-aba-card\">\n<h3>Blended Fees<\/h3>\n<p>Blended fee arrangements are a combination of a contingency fee and a reduced hourly fee, creating a balanced structure between ongoing billing and outcome-based compensation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"sogt-aba-card\">\n<h3>Success Fees<\/h3>\n<p>Some clients\u2019 budget a particular amount for a matter, and in the event we are able to achieve the result for less than the budgeted amount the firm shares the savings with the client.
